Anonymous Tip

From an anonymous but generally unanimous source. Because surely this is happening to more than just one person. Are you tired of people not being ready? Whenever you reach out, inquire, want to search out an opportunity, a connection, or moving towards something special? They are always "really busy", their schedule always seems to be "really full", or they have "a lot going on"? We are told that we are supposed to try to connect with people, organizations, ministries, to collaborate, work together, get initiatives initiated...but everyone is too busy or otherwise unavailable. In other words, it feels like everyone is uninterested, or they are stuck in their present tense. The tension of family and work and responsibilities, and perhaps a thick layer of enjoyment of late adulthood freedom as an unattached person after having gone through semi-traumatic experiences. Where does that leave an available, genuinely good person who wants to serve, get into good

Burning Intimacy

No matter the effort we exert to avoid the conflict of the condition of our souls, finding easy roads, living easygoing lives, justifying compromise, and all the other conscience-pacifying games we play, the reality of the one and only true God persists like the self-refueling radiance and power of the sun, or the un-decelerating capacity of light energy. God has created us with flammable spiritual fabric. We were meant to burn. We were made to burn. With His passion, His presence. We find the Cross as the safe place of surrender and honest vulnerability in our humanity, wherein God's imputation of Jesus' righteousness removes the torment of judgment in the flame of God. In turn, that which remains is a glorious continual bathing in a liquid river of fire straight from the center of the Throne Room itself, from the deep of God's Spirit, issuing out to the very center of our spirit. Not our soul. Not founded on emotion. Although there may be an emotional effect. This goes fa

Emotional Due Diligence

When we learn the truth, we have to take time away to process it. And oftentimes, that also means processing out falsehoods. We have to be emotionally responsible people. We have to allow emotions attached to untruths to be carefully detached and properly attached to the truth. No matter how much the untruths hurt, or how it hurts to accept that they are untruths, and no matter how much the truth hurts. This is where true healing, and the next step, restoration, take place. This is an indicator of emotional maturity. And this has to be upon self-initiative, when no one is around. Most of the time, there won't be someone encouraging this or cheering us on in it, because it's not something people talk about. Or even realize or know about. But this keeps us in a healthy state within. It keeps ill-based baggage from collecting. It fosters genuine peace and freedom. We have to take responsibility for the condition and well-being of our soul. Carrying and burying hurts, failures, dis

Pixel Buds v. AirPods Pro

The following is simply a technical analysis of wireless earbud headphones, for the fun of technology, and to bring lighthearted interest to people in the midst of very serious times. We all need a breath of fresh air, and for those of us who enjoy electronics, perhaps this can be that for a moment, while understanding there is a God of grace who is our ultimate source of peace and consolation... Well, sometimes you have to try, try and try again. At least that is the case with me when it comes to trialing electronics. It has been tiring having headsets that people can't hear me well while on a call, or the background noise drowns out my voice...all just to have a very good quality music experience. So, I picked the brain of a very knowledgeable Best Buy associate, and through a lot of deliberation, discussing the current devices by Sony, Samsung, Bose and Jabra, we landed on Apple's AirPods Pro (identified as AirPods for remainder of this post). Sony had scored a better rating

Pixelbook v. Pixelbook Go

Pixelbook (2017)             Pixelbook Go (2019) Here we are again, taking a moment to share thoughts on technology in the middle of a crazy year and season in our nation and world. We usually provide spiritual inspiration and insights on this blog, but we like to share other interests as well, just to add some dimension while maintaining all glory to God and keeping things in perspective. That said, we (well, I particularly) recently decided, after a long delibration and slowly progressing thought process, to abandon Windows for ChromeOS. I just wanted the clean, quick, simple operating system and functionality that Windows is incapable of, and I was growingly tired of the glitchy feel and UI and overall consumer experience of Windows and Microsoft products in general (except their Office and Outlook desktop and mobile apps, and thanks to originally being managed elsewhere, GroupMe and LinkedIn).
