A Romance
There is always a way to figure it out, when you have the foundational tools and necessities in place.
Take the time to open up the walls, step by step, one by one, brick by brick. Don’t be intimidated by the cabinets and closets with cobwebs on their doors. Don’t be afraid of storage boxes from the past retaining relics and memories of a life once lived.
Visit yourself with a newness of life, and a recollection of grace with every unveiling.
And if you feel claustrophobic in your space while trying to let me in, well, I will just contribute my space as well to the becoming instead of jumping out of mine and overcrowding yours…that way we will both have more room to dance and sing together.
Do you get it yet? There is always a way. Do not let an obstacle lie to you in its telling you that it is a blockade. Particularly when you know you have that which cannot be moved.
(Now I speak to those who do have that which cannot be moved. If you do not have this, you might want to move.)
I will seek to continue to honor you, and thereby honor God. I will seek to handle you with better care, verbally and nonverbally, and be a loving light of encouragement and uplifting. I want to water the ground of the garden in which you are planted, and watch you grow into everything our Everything has made you to be.
And by His tender grace, I will be planted right beside you…planted, I said, not going anywhere…and our flowering and buds will caress and move in the wind of His Spirit playfully and lovingly as we praise Him with our lives and giving to our world.
